About

About Us

NeuroShift was created to offer practical, skills-based psychological support outside of traditional therapy settings.

We design skills-based psychology programmes that bridge the gap between psychological insight and real-world application and translate evidence-based research into practical tools people can actually use at school, at home and in everyday life.

We focus on strengthening thinking skills, emotional regulation and self-management strategies that children, adolescents, young adults, parents, caregivers and teachers can use.

NeuroShift programmes are structured, interactive and developmentally informed, with a strong emphasis on relevance, accessibility, clarity and meaningful skill transfer beyond the session itself.

Meet the Founders

Marichen Klaver

Educational Psychologist

PS0139840

Marichen is an Educational Psychologist who works with children and adolescents across therapeutic and school-based contexts, with a particular focus on understanding how emotional, cognitive and learning processes interact in everyday functioning. She is especially interested in supporting young people who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or misunderstood, helping them make sense of their experiences and develop practical strategies that support both wellbeing and learning.

Marichen’s approach is integrative, structured, and developmentally informed. She brings together therapeutic work, psycho-educational assessment, and skills-based intervention, allowing for an individualised understanding of each child or adolescent’s profile. Her work is grounded in evidence-based frameworks, including BWRT, DBT- and CBT-informed approaches, alongside creative, play-based and expressive methods, which she uses flexibly to meet the needs of each individual.

Marichen works collaboratively with families, schools and multidisciplinary teams, recognising the importance of consistency and alignment across environments. She values curiosity, clarity and collaboration in her work, and is deeply committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice. Her aim is to equip young people with skills that foster emotional regulation, confidence and a stronger sense of agency as they navigate the demands of development, school and life.
